Online Madrasa for Gulf kids: how it works and what it costs

Finding a good Madrasa near home is hard for many families in the Gulf. Online Madrasa brings a teacher to your child's screen, one-to-one, at a time that fits the school day. This guide explains what to expect and what it costs.

Why Gulf families are moving Madrasa online

Evening traffic, long school days and the summer heat make a daily Madrasa trip tiring for children and parents. Many neighbourhoods also have no Madrasa that teaches in Malayalam or follows the syllabus families know from Kerala.

Online classes solve the travel problem and let you pick the language and the time. The child stays at home, and a parent can listen in.

What a one-to-one online Madrasa class looks like

  • One teacher, one child. The teacher hears every word of recitation and corrects it straight away.
  • Qur'an reading and Tajweed practised every class.
  • Namaz taught step by step, with the duas.
  • Islamic studies from the syllabus for your child's grade.

At SheTutor, Madrasa classes follow the Sunni syllabus from Grade 1 to Grade 10, and every teacher is a woman.

Malayalam or English Madrasa?

Choose the language your child understands best. Children who speak Malayalam at home often do well in Malayalam Madrasa. Children in British, American, IB or English-medium CBSE schools may follow the meaning more easily in English Madrasa.

When to schedule classes in the Gulf

Classes can run from 6 AM to 11 PM India time. In the UAE and Oman that is 4:30 AM to 9:30 PM; in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain it is 3:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Many families choose a slot after school or after Maghrib, when the child is fresh enough to recite.
